Somehow "education" has become "cultural politics." Rather than being a value to which all should aspire, education is now an odd cultural quirk. Wherein one American "culture" actually holds education in contempt... or at least suspicion. Something to be derided, not desired.
Reminds of the very old SNL skit where one of the cavemen in the skit is really smart and clever. The leader of the group is slow and not too bright but strong. The leader kills the smart caveman and then says "Now me smart".
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

One of my pet theories is that America began its slide when the school culture started punishing smart kids and achievement.

Educated also is a catch phrase for "elitist".

Deride, chide and try to humiliate the educated.
