Bristol is trailer park. Megan is valley girl. Liz is WASP country club.
I think Bristol -- and Megan, to some degree -- have had the spotlight thrust upon them. Though they willingly perform, they also inflect a hint of a generational disconnect from the GOP. I don't think either of them follows politics or the news or world events or current affairs... nor are they particularly interested in it. I think all they know about the GOP is that it's mommy's or daddy's job and it pays for their lifestyle.
Liz Cheney is in a different league -- indeed, a different generation at 42 -- than the other two young ladies. She's the full package, elitist, classist, pearls-and-ponies Republican daughter.
Where are those strapping Romney lads?
.... not that any of this has anything to do with anything.
I guess I see Bristol more as a manipulated fool than "clambering" for the spotlight. I mean, I have no way of knowing... it's just a vibe I get. I mean, really... Bristol is the Abstinence Poster Girl who points out how unrealistic it is to expect adolescent abstinence. For some reason I have a paternal sympathy for Bristol as I see her as a jerk-water kid whose been ill served by her parents.
Honestly, I don't have a clue what Meghan or Bristol are saying or how partisan they are are in what they say, so I probably shouldn't get too opinionated.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

Well, Bristol doesn't have to be a figure in an abstinence campaign, she chose that, and Meghan was nothing until she chose to interject herself.

Notice how the very first cast of MTV's "The Real World" hung around for years and performed on different shows all over MTV and other networks?

Oh, Meghan's definitely making a play, taking on Coulter and Ingraham to increase her book advance....
