To Carolyn McCarthy, whose husband was killed by a crazed gunman, her A rating from the NRA is less reassuring. The country will be hearing a lot more about that over the next couple of years, before McCarthy runs for the nomination.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.

I read some of that, but out here in the non-NY world, our main concern is that she votes with the caucus a significant percentage of the time.
At this point, there's no indication gun legislation is on the horizon.
I'm more curious why he named this very rookie legislator in a state of Dem heavyweights. It smells a little funny unless she's a placeholder.
I know there's alot of passion in your state, but it's not everyone else's state politics.
In the end, though, the seat stays Dem, and whether she wins in the next primary or not, that's a Dem seat in the Senate.
