Picture of the Day - 2

They're trotting out every trick for a sympathetic image tonight. Live news crews covering her arrival holding her sick little baby.

(When was the last time you saw her holding her son?)

  • She will also alternate between holding her baby and using a breast pump...

    This should help.

  • I may be going over analytical, but she never holds the baby in front of the cameras.

  • I'll be over analytical.... Is this the safest way to hold a baby when deplaning?

There was a Canadian writer that I linked to a while ago that said something to the affect that the Palins are fiercely, dogmatically "pro-family" while at the same time being stunningly bad at parenting. That's the vibe I get. I know, I know... unfair and totally -- well mostly -- unfounded.

  • Especially when you consider that the baby's real mom is Willow rather than Bristol. I mean, 14 years old?

Ok, just kidding, but from what I've learned about this family so far, I wouldn't put it past them.

  • EPM, I'm not going Britney on this thing. I have no idea.

    ...

Marc, I read all that when it when the daughter's pregnancy was announced. Intriguing, but I never saw anything solid to prove that, so.....

  • Maybe Biden will get to bounce the baby while she checks her notes?

  • He's good with kids......

  • Her water broke at a Governor's conference in Texas and 18 hours later after she'd got back to Alaska she gave birth.

I wonder if she knew about the Down's then and was trying to stress the baby enough to well you know...

  • Well, the story is that they knew about the Downs well before, and decided to have the baby anyway.

    That's why they're pro-life heroes.
