Another US missile attack in Pakistan

There was another US drone-missile attack in Pakistan's tribal regions yesterday killing 10 to 12 (Reuters, AFP.)

I think you have to do this, but, sooner or later, there's going to be a serious blowback, so I hope they're spending these attacks very wisely.

  • I suppose the idea is to keep the pressure on the Pakistani government. Try to turn people against the Pashtun. Who knows?

  • Frankly, if they are hitting leadership targets, I don't think this is a bad policy. the thing is, you only get so many of them before you lose all cooperation.

    If you play the fine line right, it works. If you miss, the downside is huge.

  • I often wonder who calls in the targets. Paid informers on the ground I guess. How reliable are they?
