Picture of the Day - 2 - Can't help but compare

This is the image gap today. Obama in Berlin (AP/Jae C. Hong,) and McCain with a water retenting Lindsay Graham standing in front of a "Fudge Haus." (AP/Carolyn Kaster)

(With the persistent rumors about him, you wouldn't think Lindsay Graham would want to be pictured there.)

  • I've just been working on a post comparing the image gap for the last week. You beat me to it. It is stark as you point out.

Boy Linsay sure does look uncomfortable in that picture!

  • Another gap. See if you can come across any pictures of McCain crowds. It's not just the size that's different It's the enthusiasm. The McCain crowds generally look old and stale.

  • I hope Obama understands those people are cheering because they want a more sensitive, less unilateral, less imperial American leader.

  • Anon: I hope so to. But I think a key point here is that Europe is look for an American LEADER. And unlike McCain (and certainly Bush) I think Obama has leadership a-plenty.

  • Yeah, sorry. I thought the joke was a little out of taste, and I wouldn't make that joke if Graham wasn't in the party that uses gays as campaign scapegoats.

    .....

And, my opinion would be that they're simply cheering "change." Admittedly, Obama has a little more razzle dazzle and cn draw the huge crowds, but they'd have been cheering a Clinton too in smaller numbers.

They just want rid of Bush, rid of the wars and the anger and the chaos.

That's what I think at least.
