I arrived way too late to actually get inside, but you could still see and hear the speech on monitors around the Xcel.
Security seemed very nervous. Some drunk passers-by became boisterous and the security staff was all over them. They apparently thought there was a hockey game going on, since the Wild play in the Xcel, and they shoved some people away from the monitors while asking who was ahead.
It was very much like a rock concert, except that the crowd outside was almost as big as the crowd inside.
It was really weird to think that in a few months I'll be protesting instead of celebrating outside the same place.
