From a couple of statements over the past two days, it appears that McCain is going to try to go after Obama on taxes.
Does that work in this environment? Has the perception of the Bush tax cuts benefiting only the extremely wealthy muted this line of attack?

I'm not sure the "taxes" issue will work this time around. It really depends on how well Obama can parry Republican criticism as being, what's the word, "elitist" for trying to help the top 2% at the expense of the rest of us.
If anyone can make the argument, Obama can. I don't think he falls into the usual rhetorical mushiness of career Washington politicians.

I was just curious. Taxes seem well out of the conversation at this point.
The problems feel much deeper than the Republican solutions.
