I'm starting to have a very bad feeling about the nomination, mathematical probabilities or no. Race is one big factor, and the Clintons' take-no-prisoners ambition is another.
I'm calling it for Clinton.

I'll put you down for that, but my money is definitely going the other way.
I just think that the blowback from supers choosing Clinton would be far worse than any Obama misgivings and the superdelegates, at least the elected ones, would all get punished personally for that.
I find it impossible to believe that Dem officials around the country want to take on their own constituencies. In my opinion, that's the reason Clinton's not getting any superdelegates.

I agree with you. But that's the purpose of having superdelegates - to overrule their own constituencies and the voters in general.
Anyway, I hope you're right about the outcome, but I've just got this very bad feeling.

Just imagine the shitstorm that would come down if the supers overturned Obama.
Look at the broader situation. The Clinton people are hopefully asking while the Obama supporters fell they've already won. Which side would take the decision better?
I just don't see it happening. The damage to the party would be far worse than losing the presidency. It would ripple all the way down to city council members who are superdels.

It's been non-stop Reverend Wright on CNN today. What's that about? Scare white voters or calm the waters?

Although it's officially spawned by Wright's appearance on Moyers, I think it's mostly the former.
People watch CNN to be scared.
