It's true -- since the current furor over Huckabee began, we've heard zip from or about Thompson...
I sorta expect him and his wife to fade into the Republican political background hum any day now.

I think the worst disaster for them is that they never established a defined constituency on which to build a post campaign livelihood/influence.
Even if they'd lost, if they could have found a mantle, "the ______ candidate" they could've built a post campaign influence shop.
