A two generation joke ends
For as long as I can remember, the comparison of the US dollar to the Canadian dollar was a joke at the Canadians' expense. Now, for the first time in over forty years, they have reached parity.

Yeah, but I haven't spent years watching the "Hockey Night in Canada" guys make jokes about the euro.

clearly our currency is inflated.
... and, therefore the high numbers seen in the latest leap of the Dow/Jones averages are equally inflated.
which means that people with low or no incomes are spending more and more for less and less.
but, I guess it's a great economy if you're holding internationally-denominated stocks or gold...
