I've said this before, but he doesn't speak "manliness" to me.
To be manly grandpa, you have to have to look like you've physically worked at some point.
I do get the Romney mancrush, though. (although I think it's over the top.)
Within his presented genre of stud businessman, he almost fits the manly mold.
