Picture of the Day

Looking at his prospects for lunch, George Bush finds himself wishing he'd payed Halliburton just a little bit more.

  • "So Mr. President...would you like the 'sh*t on a shingle', the 'poo on a pita', or 'crap 'en croute'"?

  • Yeah, I chose not to use shit on the front page, but that's what I was thinking.

  • Nothing to do with this photo, but I was reading the Meet the Press transcript over at DKos and came across this gem from John Kerry:

"A policy of putting more troops in and staying is a policy for staying."

I think this could be good sound bite for the Dems who really care about changing course in Iraq and point out the fruitlessness of stay the course... "A policy of staying in Iraq isn't a policy for success, it's simply a policy for staying." Something like that.

  • or maybe he is wishing Halliburton didn't rip us off so badly (ok, he is probably not wishing that)

  • EPM, the tautological approach is rarely attempted against the Bush admin because they still dispute it.

    ....

Graeme, no, not really, who do you think is going to pay his speaking fees.

  • It's definitely not going to be duck with the mango salsa. (Thanks, Geico!)

  • Never seen him eating MRE's have you?

  • FWIW, the MREs aren't bad at all. I do a little traveling by motorcycle and I usually pick up a few of these at the military surplus store. Great for camping... or even when your stuck in the local motel. Good stuff... really.

  • Dunno. I just hear the stories. I think it depends on which one you get.
