Turkey launches an offensive against the Kurds

Amid all the recent tensions between the Turks and the Kurds in Iraq, this news that the Turks are launching several large scale offensives against "Kurdish rebels" in southeastern Turkey should be noticed.

This brings the conflict right to the Iraqi border and will likely draw in Iraqi Kurdish support.
