Any comics fan knows that skull design. That's the skull painted on The Punisher's t-shirt.

What conclusion a person can draw from that, I don't know...

Is that why it resonated with me?

I was a comics guy way back when the Punisher started out. I didn't remember that, but the skull hit me.
