Sen. John Warner, R-VA, listens to Sen. John McCain, R-AZ, during a January 2007 hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Brendan Smialowski/AFP
Yeah I was playing off of one of my previous comments about Webb... Warner is generally pretty good. Rational, I agree. However, I was recently quite disappointed in him though.
Most congresspeople that have formerly served in the military, particularly in combat have a level-headedness about our current situation. McCain being the wild card. But his consistency really seems to be the issue. There is a certain merit to the arguement of what more troops could achieve. The irony being it likely would've meant hundreds of thousands more a long time ago.
How many former Secretary's of the Navy can we send to the Senate?
I'm not a huge Warner fan, but he's rational. I really don't have a big issue with alot of the rational Republicans. I may disagree on points, but a willingness to find the center, from either side of the aisle is a good thing.
And the answer to the last question is apparently two.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

I really don't mind Warner. He wouldn't be my first choice, but generally, he's a pretty rational guy.
My state brings you Sen. John Cornyn so you have realtively nothing to apologize for.

I got the reference to the Webb comment.
