  • Reading the linked article, it's clear that President Bush has completely lost his grasp on reality. He is operating in some sort of fantasy world that revolves around his own self god-image, and the delusion that a) there exists an Iraqi "unity" government, and that b) the American armed forces are his personal playthings.

    Who will stop the madness? Who will stop this tyrant?

  • That's the most frightening thing to me is that their understanding isn't precise which would mean that any strategy proposed would be more likely to fail.

    I don't know how much of the misunderstanding is simply for presentation and how much it pervades the backroom.

    BUT, if they don't recognize it as a civil war, and go in with counterinsurgency tactics, it's bound to fail.
