This reminds me of the argument made by the right about how stupid the citizens of New Orleans were to stay in that city with a hurricane bearing down on them. As if everybody has a car, or money to buy a bus ticket out of town. These people were let down by a regime more intent on creating problems than solving them.
It's funny, if you'd asked me to tell you about Katrina a week ago, I could tell you pretty much every major event, day by day, but it's not until I started digging through the pictures again that I remembered the emotion. the rage.
I remember all that racist crap. I'm down here in Houston where so many of the evacuees ended up, and some of the language down here was apalling.
This is not the America I was brought up to believe in.
This blog seeks to highlight abuse of power, deception, corruption, and just plain bad ideas in government and corporations.

Yes, and Mayor Nagin is in trouble for opeing his mouth again.
Perhaps, again, someone could explain to me exactly what it was that he said that was wrong or somehow inaccurate...

It's that no one is allowed to say anything about 9-11. Unlike Katrina where Republicans can blame the mayor.

I've been rediscovering my rage over Katrina as I've been digging back through the old photos.
