Scenes from India
Watching CNN, in the video underneath their coverage of the train bombings in Mumbai, I noticed something that moved me alot.
I saw a man in shock staggering through the chaos of the crowd with a very bloody head wound who was then stopped by several men and ushered into a cab. The driver got in and the men hurriedly motioned him to go, presumably to take the man to the hospital.
Then, another man came forward out of the crowd helping an injured woman along who couldn't walk without help. The same group of men helped her into another car, one of the men got in and rapidly drove away, and two of them then started forcing their way through the crowd back towards the train.
These guys weren't police or fire or ambulance services, they were just citizens who stepped forward to help the wounded.
It moved me.

Most people will work together in times of tragedy and crisis. It seems to be an innate reaction that humans, among other beings, share.
The Bush Cabal has manipulated this 'saving the pack' instinct to start 2 Imperial wars of conquest by allowing 9/11 to happen through malignant neglect.
Violating trust that comes from such a deep well creates a rage that is as intense as the compassion that was created during the crisis. The retribution on the Neo-Cons is not going to be pretty.
I fell into the pack mentality until about 4pm on 9/11/01 when WTC 7 fell straight into it's own footprint, even though it wasn't damaged. After that I was pretty sure it was an officially sanctioned event.
Cheney and Rumsfeld staged 9/11 for other interested parties. They are the oldest and in ill health so they would be deceased before they could be prosecuted and pay for their crimes.

Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

Maybe I'm more cynical, but I think people often react in all kinds of ways under stress. Let's look at Katrina as example where you had both good and bad, like the incident where blacks were turned back at the Gretna bridge, and then you also had people doing incredible things to help people they never knew.
I think that's why this hit me. People coming from all around the area of the bombings, apparently, at least one of these was in one of the poorest areas, and people came out to help. CNN's india affiliate reported people living near the tracks throwing sheets from their windows so they could be used as makeshift stretchers.

...and this was not the only attack today. Earlier in the day Kashmiri seperatists killed a number of people in a grenade attack.
India is going to be reliving the 1993 attacks in Bombay for a few weeks, I think.

Yeah. Unfortunately, they have a history in this.
