It's coming
Chris Matthews on Hardball, right now, "A senior western intelligence official, we can't tell you who or what government, says an Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon is expected overnight."

This ground invasion is the worst kept secret since the war w/ Iraq.
I want to echo what you said in an earlier post. How many future terrorists are being created by this carnage?

I agree. Just the bombing patterns indicated a later ground attack, but still, if it's coming tonight, that's news.

Well... maybe these would-be terrorists will realize that use of terror tactics to achieve anything more than the short-term illusion of victory just doesn't work. Israel may be influenced by terrorists, but my sense is that, in the long run, these tactics make them only more determined to do what they feel they need to do to defend themselves. Terrorism appears to serve as a rallying cry for them. That in turn makes them very effective fighters willing to risk their lives to overwhelm their opponents every time. One can only hope that their opponents figure this out.

All this proves that this whole thing hasn't been about the two soldiers (who were captured across the border in Lebanon) but about Israel seizing more land.

James, well put. I would also add that disproportionate responses which affect those outside the terror group tend to create more fighters. So it's an equation of removing some while creating more with the variables largely unkown.
Lew, yeah. Also add the desire to degrade Hezbullah. (whether that's really possible?)
