A commenter on Kinky Friedman
I'll be honest, I've not really looked into the Kinky Friedman campaign for Texas governor as I don't take it that seriously, but in a previous post, I referred to it as appealing to the quirky.
An Anonymous commenter posted a list of some questionable details about Friedman. (7th comment, list of ten with links.) Big thanks.

That makes it sound like Kinky is their to draw off vote leakage, to the Dems I guess, or other contender.
I don't really know the dynamic there, but the tactic is becoming a standard ploy.

Add to that list of questionable Kinky qualities that the bigots on the Imus Show like Bernard McGuirk and Charles McCord love him. If the Imus guys like somebody, it always gives me pause.

I don't really have a comment about Kinky, but he's right about Mexico. It's not a poor country if you measure by GDP (or here. mexico also has the highest per capita income in Latin America. However, it certainly does a poor job of taking care of the vast majority of population, as the poverty rate is sometimes estimated at around fifty percent.

I don't really have any opinion on the guy whatsoever. I know nothing about his politics. I know nothing about his campaign. I see him as a very small outsider.
And C4N3P, thanks. Is that good information? I don't know. I just put this up because I mentioned it yesterday.
