This is not a movie clip or TV show.

This is a real picture from Yahoo of a soldier in Basic Training. They don't show this part in the brochures, do they?

  • It's trendy to pick on the US military, but is it prudent when you owe your freedoms to that very entity......

    Sometimes I think we get so far elevated in our own thinking that common sense takes a backseat. This picture does nothing except provide anyone, in this case you, to attach anything you want to it.

    Hey, my take on it is that the kid getting yelled at was out past curfew and needed a bit of fatherly attention.

  • Very possibly, Leo. I appreciate you coming by with comment/criticism.

    As with many pictures of the day, I just post them because I find them compelling.

    And, I'm not saying the kid didn't deserve it. Hey may have done something that would've endangered his unit in real combat.

    There was just such a moment captured in this that I thought I'd put it up.
