  • Europeans drink cold beer? When did that start?

  • An American in Heiligendamm.

  • alcoholics like cold drinks too

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2:47 AM

  • Looks like a Buckler to me. Alcohol free...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:07 AM

  • That's indeed a bottle of Buckler maltbeer. As 307 said; alcohol free.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:57 AM

  • Yanks believe they are the only ones who drink cold beer... lame yanks

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:59 AM

  • Guess that shoulder massage that initially gave her the creeps warmed the old girl right up....

What a change in a year, huh. Next you know they'll be drunk, sleeping together.

  • This guy can't even hold his alcohol-free beer, and let's not even think about the pretzels.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:08 AM

  • Yes, Germans always drank cold beer, I am a German, and Inever knew it different. The English are the ones who have no idea about drinking beer, they drink it warm. What a bad taste!!!!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:53 AM

  • That is an alcohol-free beer. I drink them frequently when I go to bars and clubs. The photographer did a good job of making him appear drunk, but chances are it is merely his stupidity showing through. Why would a guy who is already so thoroughly mentally impaired need booze?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:15 AM

  • how does this thing know my name whemn i leave a comment...mmmnnn.. As for warm beer we dont drink lager warm and to us brits lager isnt even beer... Bitter or real ale is coool from the pump but its not cold and its not warm... Real ale and bitter sholud not be cold because it kills the flavour.. The opposite is true for lager or as i call it larger because it makes everyones egos larger... Some of us liek the tase more than the effect... lage has a beer boy fighting image this is why we call stella artois Wife beater because it makes people violent a lot more than bitter.. or real ale... try some old growler at a wetherspoons and then tell me our beer is not up to scratch.. American lager tastes like soapy water....

  • What is it with some Germans (most I know are great folk) Is it the World Cup final or the two world wars that make you throw the warm beer around? If you knew anything about english ale you'd realise that its fine to drink at room temp. Still each to his own............

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:27 AM

  • Isn't room temperature almost freezing in cold dank merry old England?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 8:34 AM

  • Yup Bucklers an Non-Alkie
    beer...

By Blogger Joe Corrao 4 Eyed Animation, at 8:59 AM

  • Maybe Bush thought there was alcohol in that beer and he only thought he was drunk.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:08 AM

  • Near beer has alcohol. Just half of one percent. A non-recovering alcoholic wouldn't even touch the stuff.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:18 AM

  • You know, I don't understand why in most blogs many comments are spiteful, mean spirited, and always critical of others. Is is the fact that one can act in a fashion that is not tolorated in everyday interactions with others, but on the internet can be said without one being identified? Germans, Brittians, and even Americans are generally, and by far, good people and, it is always fun to talk with each other about the differences of their cultures. I wish there weren't so many criticisms of each culture and society or, people in general in the blogs. Can't we be unidentified and nice at the same time? I surely would like to hear of the different brews of each culture, the golf courses, automobiles, women, etc!

The gov't violates the 1st Amendment by opening mail, caging demonstrators and banning books like "America Deceived" from Amazon.
They violate the 2nd Amendment by confiscating guns during Katrina.
They violate the 4th Amendment by conducting warrant-less wiretaps.
They violate the 5th and 6th Amendment by suspending habeas corpus.
They violate the 8th Amendment by torturing.
They violate the entire Constitution by starting 2 illegal wars based on lies and on behalf of a foriegn gov't.

  • Granted it is a well known fact that President Bush is an Alcoholic, but at least the man knows and excepts this fact. I am also an Alcoholic been in and out of recovery for years. Every day is a struggle but a blessing too. This something i do not see when i am drinking. The man maybe really good at messing things up, but at least he is doing it sober. I'm not really sure if many people could handle the stress without some sort of release.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10:55 AM

  • The above based on the fact that he is drinking a NON alcohol beer.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 10:57 AM

  • That German slut looks like she would suck a dogs cock.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:08 PM

  • I know what you mean by American beer being nothing but watered down piss. I think the U.S. alcohol levels {4.1% Texas} are the highest they have.
I used to work with security at strip bars in Niagara Falls Canada and always got a good laugh when America's had a couple of our Canadian brews. Our levels are triple here what they normally drink in shithole US of A. America beer company monopolies {what do they have 5 or 6 labels to choose from} must be making a killing in profits selling nothing but water with beer flavouring.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:21 PM

  • If Bush wants to releave his stress, instead of pointing it at little Iraqi girls, put the fucking gun barrel into your mouth and pull.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:23 PM

  • I keep waiting on him to rare off an give a long, healthy fart out of one end or the other and thereby producing the finest speach of his presidency. But, I will plan to be down wind, as I am sure the mainstream media will overplay all the finer points of it's exertion. Heck, may be he'll get a wild hair and fly a kite in a lightning storm and invent something productive like Ben Franklin did.

The fact many American and British leaders have been known to drink should not be alarming to any one who has studied history. But, the fact we have such leaders who seldom come up with productive ideas sober might a good ol' fashioned buzz produce a drop of enlightenment on the situation, are they the "illuminati" for goodness sakes?

But, we still don't actually know how many Bildeburgers it takes to screw up a light bulb? Do we? A thousand pointless lies is all we see. Wisdom from the ancients past down to the idiots, well what do we really expect after all those years of inbreeding?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:38 PM

  • Buckler is NOT alcohol free as stated by commenters #4 and #5. It is a low-alcohol beer brewed by Heinekin and is a favorite of alcoholics trying to be seen as not consuming alcohol.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1:14 PM

  • Does anyone kmnow the difference between a drunk & an alcoholic?

    An Alcoholic goes to meetings.

Bush is a coke head & a drunk, he does not need a "non alcoholic" beer, [near beer]! One taste & he's back OFF the wagon.
For those of you who think the photo shows him drinking a near beer, that bottle could just as well be the chancelor's!
Bush is a boozer & a fool. His Secret Service should keep him away from pubs & bars & liquor stores, or he will start another illegal war.

  • Its not above Georgie's handlers to switch the contains of a bottle of "Non-Alcoholic Beer" for the good of the folks back home!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:09 PM

  • Germans drink it cold, sure. I've travelled the country, mostly Bavaria, and loved the beers to tears.

When you are in Germany, you either drink the beer or wish you could. And you drink it cold.

  • Brits do not drink warm beer! We just don't drink it ice cold and tasteless! Get your facts right and have a decent pint. Honestly, ask anyone, and most agree that Yanks have a very over inflated view of their country and to moan about 4$ for fuel! We pay twice as much and don't bloody winge!

  • Your Canadian and European beers are stale goat piss compared to the great micro brews of the NW portion of the US. Granted our US "domestic" brews are indeed rice beer only worthy to be consumed by redneck farmers and arrogant dickheads who can handle a real mans brew. Typical micro brew in the NW runs 7~10% before bottling….so I highly doubt your treasured Canadian or Europee'in brews are in check with the old hippie granola ass kickin micro brews!!

As for bush drinking any non-alcoholic brew, most "recovering alcoholics" would NEVER think of drinking non-alcoholic brew as it DOES contain some minor amounts of alcohol. My wife's been sober for 17yrs and knows a thing or two regarding this subject. As for Prez. Bush….well he's simply just an idiot controlled by corporate heavy weights and power hungry evil men. Don't shit on the folks of the US they're people just like you sorry a-holes…..shit on our government….they're the evil ones!!

  • There are many interesting comments as to the nature taste and charactaristics of beer. I love beer personally, in all of its manifestations so here is what I've found:

Domestic (American Piss Beer): Is best on a 100 degree day served as close to the freezing point as possible. This as stated, kills the taste, turns it to basically water, and you can pound an 18 pack quite quickly.

Micro Brews from the NW: Although some contain wonderful flavors (Fat Tire/Abby Ale Obsidian Stout Eye of the Hawk), most taste like burnt coffee and are about as fun to drink.

English Beers: Quite delicious slightly chilled. I often let my Guinness, Newcastle, Boddingtons and others sit open for 10 to 15 minutes in the room before even touching them, as it brings out the flavors of the beer and make the cosumption most enjoyable.

Finally we have German Beer: As stated, it is needed to be ice cold. We aren't talking about meads and brandywines here, we're talking about BEER. Although, unlike Domestic beers, they do not taste like ass if they do reach room temp, they just taste like warm beer.

    My 2 cents

PS> No self respecting alcoholic would drink near beer for the fact that is an abomination.

Buckler, made by Heineken, is 0.05% alcohol. Kids can buy this kind of near-beer in grocery stores all over North America. Thats less alcohol than pure orange juice that you get in the carton from your supermarket has by virtue of slight fermentation. This article just shows how desperate some people can be to dig up dirt. Really pathetic. Next.....

Not only is he an alcoholic, but he's a drug addict, too, and a traitorous mass murdering treasonous biotch...and Cheney and Rove's sock puppet biotch at that. They're working on more treasonous NWO stuff at G8, that and Bilderberger where TX 's Gov Perry violated the Logan Act by attending.

  • As an American in Prague- I have to say that all of the beer back home, I thought I liked, don't come close to the top three here. Which are on tap 24hrs a day.. At anytime, if I choose, I can jump on a tram, bus or metro line, here in Prague with ANY beverage of my choosing.

Just thought some of you may find that interesting.

(..and for the first time in years, I'm gonna see what it's like to go without said beer for a few weeks. Uh ohh! And, right now, in Prague, it's sticky-hot-yuck summer time..)

Americans are not the best at everything and most of us are intelligent and humble enough to know that. The problem is, the people with the guns think that they are..

Hell, if cars ran on beer, the U.S. would have never given this bloc to the Soviets.. Just think what that would have done for the quality of the American Brewer!

  • Wow what a bunch of IGNORANT beer bigots. As for germans I have enjoyed many nights watching germans and brits for that matter losing thier cookies and making total and complete fools of themselves drinking that good ole weak American Beer. As for the fools who want to go on and on about alcohol content you are stupid and ignorant and you should keep your comments to your selves as you only look even dumber here. I like certain beers from everywhere around the world and what makes each one different isn't so much the ingrediants as it is the H2O that goes into it. I have never been able to develope a taste for ale but I have always drank it cold. Here is a free lesson on Bud. It is brewed in so many locations and batches that the alcohol content can vary, so it is possible to be able to drink 6 and not feel buzzed or drink 6 and be half crocked. For those that want to say all American Beer is weak....Well go get a few STEEL RESERVES drink them and then get back to me.

Bush is drinking remember his "flu Like Symptoms", a hang over plain and simple. Those that voted for him should have to move out of the Country because they are not smart enough to be Americans. Hmmm now what beer to drink this eve?
